The Holistic Creative Recovery of the True Self program (HCRTS) is based on research-supported methods and principles that have proven to be effective with healing outcomes in treating the underlying causes of addiction and mental illnesses. As research indicates, the underlying causes of addiction and mental illness are often related to childhood trauma.

True transformational possibilities are inherent in the scope and design of each of the program’s components. The foundation of the work lies in addressing the four quadrants of healing:
When working within the four quadrants, program participants will be encouraged and guided toward returning to their inner child, ultimately revealing the True Self.
Addiction & Adverse Childhood Experiences. According to Dr. Daniel Sumrok, the Director of the Center for Addiction Sciences at the University of Tennessee’s Health Science College of Medicine, the term addiction is not a term that should still be in use and should, in fact, be changed to “ritualized compulsive comfort-seeking”. He holds the belief that “ritualized compulsive comfort-seeking” (addiction) is a very normal response to childhood trauma. Through research and practice, he has found that the optimal way to treat those in need is to go back to the root of the issues, by addressing “adverse childhood experiences (ACE’s).”
The Holistic Creative Recovery of the True Self Program is a unique and personalized program that identifies childhood traumas. Using various methods, the program helps to heal traumas that lie beneath addictive behaviors. Participants will learn to create healthy sustainable behaviors, ultimately leading to the recovery of the True Self.
